Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2024-07-09T06:24Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
Activity ID: 2024-07-09T06:24:00-CME-001 (version 2)
Source Location: S25E20
Note Keyword:
Faint: Faint event; may affect type assignment
FF: Event fails/disappears before exiting COR2
Source Signature Keyword:
DIM: Dimming
Morphology Keyword:
L: Loop
Note: An extremely faint and slow CME in the southeast only seen in the early imagery in SOHO LASCO C2 and STEREO A COR2 (and not seen in C3 because of its faintness). Its source could possibly be seemingly sympathetic eruptions in Active Region 3738 (S08E26), accompanied by a C-class flare, and Active Region 3736 (S18W04). The area between these two active region register a very faint but large-area dimming seen starting after 2024-07-09T05:30Z and centered around S25E20.

Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type |

Very uncertain analysis based on the best fit with two coronagraphs and supported by a faint dimming between two active regions as a possible source. The CME front is very faint (not seen in SOHO LASCO C3 at all) and the source is very faint, resulting in the high uncertainty of analysis. |
